All-Ukrainian Integrated Thematic Intellectual Project «Space Brotherhood»
The Space Brotherhood Intellectual Competition is a team competition in which children compete in the ability to find the correct answer to a question in the allotted time before the opposing team.
The intellectual competition ‘Space Brotherhood’ (hereinafter referred to as the Competition) is held annually on the basis of the O.M. Makarov National Youth Aerospace Education Center (hereinafter referred to as the O.M. Makarov NYAEC).
Preparation and organization of the Contest is carried out by the staff of the educational and methodological department of the O.M. Makarov NYAEC.
The purpose of the Contest is to identify and support talented students, develop their interest in in-depth study of outer space, exchange of knowledge and information in the field of astronomy, physics, natural phenomena and space ecology, technical creativity, rocket and space modelling, etc.
The main objectives of the Contest are:
- support of cognitive, intellectual and creative initiative of students;
- practical involvement of students in the Contest and acquisition of teamwork skills;
- development of students' understanding of the role of Space for modern technologies;
- promotion and practical involvement of students in aerospace education;
- assistance in professional orientation and continuing education of students;
- promotion of achievements in science, technology, new technologies etc.
