Open Day at the NYAEC
It has become a tradition for the O. M. Makarov NYAEC to hold an Open Day in September.
This year, the event took place on 5–6 September 2025 in an online format.
The event was attended by students from extracurricular and general secondary education institutions, first- and second-year students from vocational (vocational-technical) and pre-higher education institutions, parents, teachers and anyone else who wished to participate.
September 1st is Knowledge Day in Ukraine, officially marking the start of the new academic year in all educational institutions across the country. It is not just the start of the academic year, but the start of a journey to new knowledge and new victories. We wish everyone a successful start to their studies!
Iryna FEDORENKO, Deputy Director General for Science and Education at the NYAEC, Serhii KIZIMA, Director of the Bukovina Small Academy of Sciences for Schoolchildren, physics and astronomy teacher, teacher-methodologist, and employees of the National Centre for Academic and Scientific Education addressed the participants with a welcoming speech.
Participants and guests learned about the events that the O.M. Makarov NYAEC has been holding for many years for students, postgraduates, scientists, young scientists and specialists from enterprises and organizations in the aerospace industry, teachers and research assistants from different regions of Ukraine. They also had the opportunity to learn about a number of events for children of different age groups and the educational process of the NYAEC in providing aerospace education for children, young people, schoolchildren, students and postgraduates.

The NYAEC educational and exhibition complex hosts a permanent exhibition of sculptures entitled ‘Eternal and Beautiful’ by the distinguished Ukrainian artist and sculptor Oleksiy Leonov.
