The results of the of the 10th All-Ukrainian competition of creative works ‘Literary Universe’

From October 2024 to January 2025, the 10th All-Ukrainian Literary Universe Creative Writing Contest was held.

On 20 January 2024, the results of the Contest were announced, which is held annually to encourage young people to improve their imagination, ability to independently analyse facts and skillfully formulate their opinion about the Universe; to develop interest in in-depth study of outer space through creative and literary direction, as well as to support the creative self-improvement of students.

The competition received 242 works from participants from different regions of Ukraine: Volyn, Dnipropetrovs'k, Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhzhia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Luhansk, Lviv, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Poltava, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, Chernivtsi, Chernihiv and a participant from Estonia.

Given the martial law in Ukraine, some of our regular participants were able to join the Contest, even from the occupied territories, which made us very happy.

The entries were judged by an independent jury based on the following criteria:

• relevance to the topic;
• content
• spelling and style;
• originality;
• completeness of the topic disclosure.

The jury faced a difficult task - to choose from a large number of creative works those that fully comply with the terms of the Contest and the stated topic, as well as stand out for their knowledge and originality.

Most of the participants' works corresponded to the theme of the Contest, were interesting and relevant in content, contained original ideas, author's photos and images.

Scores were deducted for incomplete disclosure of the topic, non-compliance with the design guidelines and grammatical errors.

The jury decided on the winners of the Contest.

The jury awarded individual participants of the Competition with diplomas in the nominations.

All the supervisors of the contestants' works were awarded with letters of appreciation. All participants of the Contest receive certificates.

A collection of the best works of the Competition will be posted on the NYAEC websites and social media.
