All-Ukrainian Forum “Extracurricular Education of Children – Nurturing the Future” on Extracurricular Education Day – 2025
For the eighth consecutive year, extracurricular education in Ukraine celebrates its professional holiday – Extracurricular Education Day. On September 25, 2025, on the occasion of Extracurricular Education Day – 2025, the All-Ukrainian Forum “Extracurricular Education of Children – Nurturing the Future” was held online, organized by the International Association of Extracurricular Education together with its partners.
The main goal of the Forum was to present the current state and progressive ideas in the system of extracurricular education, as well as the activities of extracurricular education institutions in the context of modern challenges.
Olena Bykovska, president of the International Association of Extracurricular Education, distinguished scientist and engineer of Ukraine, officially opened the forum and welcomed all participants.
The event was attended by representatives of state and local authorities, scientists, practitioners of extracurricular education, and members of the public from all regions of Ukraine and other countries. Vasyl Kremen, President of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences and the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, addressed the forum participants with a welcoming speech, noting that extracurricular education is an important and integral part of the education system, thanks to which every child in Ukraine and around the world develops their abilities, gains knowledge, and acquires skills.
Oleksiy Kulik, Director General of the O.M. Makarov National Youth Aerospace Education Center, spoke at the plenary session. In his opinion, extracurricular education remains the only window to the world of creativity, science, and additional knowledge, and in the context of martial law, extracurricular education institutions are taking on a new format and significance.
